Versatile Optical System
This Galilean microscope with stereoscopic head simplifies and brings clarity to even the most challenging examinations. The SL-1400 Slit Lamp optics are ideal for technologically advanced imaging systems. An optional beam splitter will allow illustration of pathologies using digital imaging and video systems when these are in place. The dual-port beam splitter also allows connection of an asysoscope.

Magnification Selector:
The Luxvision SL-1400 Slit Lamp offers the possibility of selecting five magnification levels—from 6x to 40x—simply by turning a single knob. No eyepiece change is necessary. Using the conveniently located knob, operators can choose between magnification rates equivalent to 6x (Ø33mm), 10x (Ø22.5mm), 16x (Ø14mm), 25x (Ø8.8mm), and 40x (Ø5.5mm). Fine adjustments can also be made to the PD and optical correction.

Two Fixation Target Options
The SL-1400 offers two fixation target options. One is for dioptric adjustment, helping the patient to clearly see the target, while the other is an illuminated fixed point. The dioptric-compensated fixation target provides a point and concentric circles. The operator can slide the knob to adjust the compensation within the range of -15D to +10D. The illuminated point target is especially suitable for patients with refractive errors above -15D.

Wide Field of View with PD and Dioptric Adjustment
The Luxvision SL-1400’s Galileo optical system provides an exceptionally wide field of view of Ø33mm, Ø22.5mm, Ø14mm, Ø8.8mm and Ø5.5mm, with a PD adjustment range of 55mm-75mm and dioptric adjustment from -5D to +3D.

High-Luminance Lamp and Integrated Filters
The SL-1400 uses a 12-volt, 30-watt halogen lamp to provide bright illumination and exceptional clarity. By moving the unit’s filter selection lever, you can easily select from four integrated filters: a heat-absorbing filter that improves patient comfort during prolonged examinations, a red-free filter that enhances structural contrast, a cobalt blue filter for use in fluorescein tests, and a gray filter. When indirect backlighting is required, the light can be diverted using the unit’s controls. Additionally, the SL-1400 features a diffuser lens to widen the illumination field and allow for low-magnification observations and photography.

Continuous Slit Rotation and Aperture Adjustment:
The SL-1400 offers 2/3x slit projection magnification and allows continuous slit width adjustment from 0mm to 9mm using an easy adjustment knob. The slit becomes a circle at 9mm. The seven available aperture diameters are Ø9mm, Ø8mm, Ø5mm, Ø3mm, Ø2mm, Ø1mm, and Ø0.2mm. The slit height, indicated in a window, can also be continuously changed from 1mm to 8mm. With precise controls, the operator can rotate the slit body horizontally to rotate the image at any angle from 0° to 180°. Slit tilts in four levels (5°, 10°, 15°, 20°) are also available for oblique illumination in contact lens evaluations.

Integrated Multidirectional Joystick:
Move the SL-1400 with ease using the intuitive multidirectional joystick. Precise adjustments are at your fingertips, simply by rotating and tilting the joystick. The SL-1400 base offers: forward and backward movement up to 90mm; lateral movement up to 100mm; fine movement up to 15mm and vertical movement up to 30mm. After correct alignment, the base can be locked to prevent slippage.

Unlike standard slit lamps, the Luxvision SL-1400 also allows for dilated examination of the fundus and posterior segment of the vitreous body using the Hruby Lens with its holder and guide.

Tonometry and Other Accessories
The Luxvision SL-1400 can be equipped with the TN-150 / TN-150B applanation tonometer or with the Haag-Streit AG R-900 or T-900 models for measuring intraocular pressure. The unit’s accessory holder also allows for the attachment of other devices, including photography and video accessories. Furthermore, it is possible to replace the standard eyepieces with 12.5x eyepieces with reticles for length and angle measurement.
